Brand Bidding Policy
Brand Bidding: Brand bidding, Brand-Keyword Bidding, Misspelling, or any form of misleading brand name usage is strictly forbidden. The following actions related to bidding are prohibited:
- Bidding on Google Adwords using keywords or search terms that incorporate a brand trademark, service mark, or brand name without obtaining our prior written consent is not permitted.
- Publishers are not authorized to use brand names in their paid search titles and descriptions.
- Publishers are not allowed to display the brand’s paid search ads when the brand name or brand name combined with other words is used as search keywords.
- Brand bidding on third-party brand terms to divert traffic away from a competitor’s site is strictly prohibited. Bidding on Google AdWords for such purposes is entirely prohibited.
Brand Trademark or Copyright Infringement: Utilizing an advertiser’s symbol, logo, phrase, word, design, or brand name in any form of online or offline communication in a way that may mislead users into thinking it’s from the official advertiser’s channel is not allowed. Additionally, it’s prohibited to present misleading information about the product in ads that violates the brand’s trademarks or copyrights. Using an advertiser’s trademark or service mark in a manner that could cause confusion, deception, or misunderstanding about the source of the goods and services is not permitted.
Brand Hijacking: Publishers are strictly prohibited from engaging in Ad hijacking, also known as brand poaching, direct linking, or URL jacking. This occurs when an affiliate attempts to impersonate the brand by running ads that closely resemble the brand’s own ads, including using similar headlines, descriptions, and the same display URL.
Spamming: Publishers are not allowed to promote their codes or links through the brand’s official social media channels. The following rules regarding spamming are in effect:
- Posting your codes/links in the comments on the brand’s social media channel posts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube) is strictly prohibited.
- Commenting via your pages or accounts on the brand’s social media channel posts is also strictly prohibited.
- Mentioning the brand name with your codes, or without, on the brand’s social media posts is not allowed.
- The use of bots to disseminate our campaigns and promote our links/codes is not permitted. For instance, running a code using a Twitter bot for a brand keyword is prohibited since bot software autonomously performs actions such as tweeting, re-tweeting, liking, following, unfollowing, or direct messaging other accounts.
- Tagging the brand official handle, for example: @eyewa or #eyewa on social media, unless it’s for a product review, unboxing, or approved content by the brand, is strictly not allowed.
No Social Media Advertising Platforms (Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok):
Reselling: Publishers are not allowed to purchase orders from the brand’s site using AffiliateFX links/codes and then resell them to other buyers. Publishers should solely use our links/codes to promote and direct users to make orders on the brand’s official site/app.
Typosquatting/Cybersquatting: Misleading users by registering brand names as internet domains with the intention of reselling them or for any other purpose is not permitted.
Illicit Content: Content related to religious sites, hate promotion, profanity, and illegal activities, including pornography, gambling, matrimony, dating, and casino sites, is explicitly prohibited. Political or controversial information should not be used for brand promotion. Fraudulent content that may deceive customers is also not allowed.
Pop Traffic: The use of pop-ups or pop-unders is not permitted.
Important Note: Please be aware that a $100 administration fee may be charged in case of a complaint.
